Featured in the exhibition are several newly acquired works from cutting-edge contemporary African artists including Wole Lagunju, Turiya Magadlela and Kimathi Mafafo.
The artists in the exhibition push the boundaries of traditional painting, moving beyond oil and acrylic to create dynamic works that incorporate textiles, found objects, digital imagery, and handmade materials in electrifying unconventional compositions.
L’exposition présente plusieurs œuvres récemment acquises d’artistes africains contemporains de pointe, notamment Wole Lagunju, Turiya Magadlela et Kimathi Mafafo. Les artistes présentés repoussent les limites de la peinture traditionnelle, allant au-delà de l’huile et de l’acrylique pour créer des œuvres dynamiques qui intègrent des textiles, des objets trouvés, des images numériques et des matériaux faits main dans des compositions électrisantes et non conventionnelles.
